Valorie George, LCSW, CGP![]() Valorie received her psychotherapy training through the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences outpatient psychiatric clinic at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. While completing a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Houston, she finished a psychotherapy internship and, subsequently, a Fellowship in Clinical Social Work at the Baylor Psychiatry Clinic. Psychotherapy training at Baylor centered on psychodynamic psychotherapy while also providing a strong foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy, couple’s counseling, and intensive three-day outpatient psychiatric evaluations.
Valorie is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy through Behavioral Tech, a training institute founded by Marsha Linehan and has completed the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Fellowship at the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies in Houston. Valorie is currently the President of Houston Group Psychotherapy Society (HGPS) and co-chairperson of the Training and Education Committee of HGPS. Brett Needham, PhD, LCSW![]() Brett is a psychotherapist and educator currently in private practice in the Galleria area. During his career, Brett has worked with populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric. He previously worked for Baylor College of Medicine, where he continues to hold the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor on voluntary faculty. During that time, he provided individual, group, couples and family psychotherapy to clients of the Harris County Hospital District. Brett is an intensively trained Dialectical Behavior Therapy clinician and provides standard Dialectical Behavior Therapy to clients struggling with emotional and interpersonal issues.
